Dan has built a career in bid writing, building business strategy, designing highly successful delivery models, forming and maintaining supply chains and building and managing partnerships that perform highly across the Welfare To Work, Heath, Skills and Criminal Justice sectors in particular. Dan is also an experienced trainer and received consistently high scores in our delegate evaluations.

Gemma Waring BA (Hons) APMP

Gemma is a qualified trainer with over 10 years of experience bidding for public sector tenders. She has worked with a range of procurement bodies such as DWP, Local Authorities, The Environment Agency, MOJ and has worked on contracts up to the value of £180m. In her current role she supports our customers to compete effectively for tenders through our public training courses, bespoke in-house training courses and our wider consultancy services.

Jamie Edwards

Jamie is a vastly experienced award winning Bid Writer and Contracts Manager who has a long history of success in both business development and procurement consultancy. With over 25 years of experience Jamie quickly established a reputation as a compelling author of concise, factual and persuasive bids, tenders and proposals for tenders in the USA, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe. His key skills lie in bid writing, bid strategy development, E-procurement and winning and managing contracts with the public, private and third sectors.

Matthew Griffin FCIPS MSc

Matthew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Procurement. With extensive Supply Chain and Procurement experience, Matthew has worked with clients in the NHS, Central Government, Financial Services, Manufacturing and Utilities engaging in senior leadership roles in complex organisations. Matthew improves financial performance through creative and innovative strategic sourcing and leadership of teams, as well as ensuring compliance, establishing new directions and focusing on the effective delivery of goals. Matthew has experience of managing and evaluating public sector tenders having held responsibility of contracts in the £billions and helping deliver significant savings for his clients.

Nicola Bramwell (BSc, MCIPS, MSc, PRINCE2)

Nicola has a Master’s Degree in Procurement and is MCIPS and PRINEC2 qualified. With previous experience as a Sourcing Lead at the Government Procurement Service (now CCS), Nicola has managed the development strategy of a pan government Facilities Management framework agreement and a wealth of procurements for a wide range of products and services covering a variety of different categories and sectors. Nicola has key skills in creating selection and award stage documentation with accompanying evaluation criteria and managing evaluation processes. This experience has given Nicola a unique insight and detailed understanding of the requirements of the bidding process to aid both procurement professionals and tender writers.

Paddy Howlin

Paddy is MCIPS qualified with extensive experience in category management and public sector procurement. Successful in developing and implementing strategy to drive commercial outcomes and building highly motivated teams that deliver savings, cost improvement and drive continuous improvements. Paddy has a proven track record of success with the likes of NHS England, Government Procurement Service (now CCS) and NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency where Paddy won the prestigious Chartered Institute of Supply Best EU Public Procurement Project Award in 2007. Paddy has since led the successful delivery of procurements within Clinical Temporary Staffing, Property and Facilities Management categories whilst Head of Category at Government Procurement Service.

Paul Baker

Pauls’ 30 years’ experience spans both the public and third sectors with roles encompassing business development, bid writing and operation/project managing, successful delivery and contract roll-out. Bid management roles within the further education, third sector and the welfare to work sector have provided invaluable experience of writing (and winning) bids to deliver major multi-million pound contracts including SFA, DWP Prime, Big Lottery, as well as Scottish & Welsh government. Paul also has years of experience establishing and managing funding programmes including; ESF, Training and Enterprise Councils and Big Lottery Fund. Undertaking operational roles for DWP and Development Trusts, Paul established community broking arrangements in inner city and rural areas.
